SECTION 1 – WHAT DO I DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you attend a session or class or make an enquiry, as part of the process, I collect the personal information you give me which may include things such as your name, address, phone number and email address and, in the case of a treatment session booking or yoga class, any other information required to treat or teach you safely and effectively. Taking a health and lifestyle history is required by law for the treatments I offer as is retaining and securely maintaining your records for 7 years past the date of your last session.
All client information is stored in accordance with GDPR guidelines (and always has been!). I use a secure online service called IntakeQ for intake forms and appointment reminders and only store your information online and protected by a password on that website and a second password on my laptop. You will be sent a password protected link to complete your intake form.
SECTION 2 – CONSENT
How do you get my consent?
When you provide me with personal information to complete a transaction, book a session or class or send a query, I imply that you consent to my collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If I ask for your personal information for another reason, like marketing, I will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. You can unsubscribe at any time - I will be sad to see you go but promise to let you leave gracefully!
How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for me to contact you anytime, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information by contacting me. With your permission, I may send you emails about my practice, new treatments and classes and other updates. Very occasionally, I promise! If you prefer not to receive this at all you can unsubscribe at any time by contacting me using the details at the end of this policy.
SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE
I will not in the normal course of events ever share your personal information. I will never ever sell your personal information - seriously, who does that?!
However I may need to disclose your personal information if required to by law or in the unlikely event you violate the terms of our agreement. You won't do that so we are good!
The only other time your personal information may be shared is if you expressly ask me to and grant permission in writing - as an example, if you need your doctor's consent for a treatment I will write to them to obtain this or generally provide you with the form with your details to have reviewed and signed.
SECTION 4 – PAYMENT
If you choose a direct payment gateway (Paypal or Stripe) to complete your payment, then your credit card data is encrypted. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your card data is deleted. I use Paypal and Stripe and never hold any payment details myself. They have their own privacy policies in respect to the information I am required to provide to them for your transactions which you can view on their websites.
SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers I use will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to me.
However, as mentioned above certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information I am required to provide to them for your transactions. For these providers (Paypal and Stripe as payment gateways and IntakeQ for intake forms and appointment reminders), please read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
Remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or me. So if you decide to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Ireland and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the Canada, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under Canadian legislation.

SECTION 6 – SECURITY
To protect your personal information, I take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide your credit card information via Paypal or Stripe, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, I follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

SECTION 7 – AGE OF CONSENT
